HISTORY

 

OBJECTIVES

  • This program is delivered by CIFE as a non-profit organization.
  • The program goal is to advance knowledge about the workforce discretion in the production work on construction projects.
  • The program is a product of a collaboration in 2015-17 with the Santa Clara County Construction Careers Association and the East Side Union High School District along with inspiration by Dr. Fruchter's PBL lab Global AEC Teamwork Program and Dr. Fischer's CIFE Executive VDC Certificate program.
  • This program is not a training session for specific tools.
  • The approach to learning is a project-based learning by doing, first through interactive work sessions during the introductory bootcamp, and then through the application of VDC by the participants to their project and repeated sharing of and reflection on the VDC application.
