Workforce VDC
Our Mission
The “Workforce VDC Education” is a specialized educational program to learn a new language that is used in the construction industry: Virtual Design and Construction.
As technology and digitalization play an increasingly important role in our lives and also on construction sites, it is important to make them available for all involved to make the construction sites future-oriented.
This program is offered by PADG and the Center for Integrated Facility Engineering (CIFE). It teaches a safe and environmentally conscious method of developing the built environment through a PBL Lab style of AEC Teamwork (project-based learning) to concepts of and effective use of Virtual Design and Construction.
Our Focus
The focus of this program is on two different groups of participants. On the one hand, we want to provide students with knowledge about VDC and thus arouse their interest in the construction industry.
On the other hand, we also want to give people who are already working in the construction industry the opportunity to learn more about VDC in order to work more effectively, safer, and faster.
Jon Regalado, participant of the Workforce VDC Program:
"The Workforce VDC Program hat taugjt me how VDC will help open communication and understanding between all levels in construction"
